Hi, Love my new set of sculpt cups. Question: I have varicose veins in my right leg from my lower thigh to my foot. They would be considered severe??…or maybe just “not mild”—as I don’t wear hose, don’t have constant pain (I do have pain, but it is mostly in my foot and intermittant–like if I go barefoot on hard surfaces.), wear shorts, do interval training twice a week, and walk 4 miles a day and chase 6 kids. 🙂 I know not to go over the protruding vein areas from the lower thigh down, obviously, but I am not even sure about the bum & upper thigh areas on that side, even tho there are not obvious varicosities there. I also wonder about spider veins. I do not plan to overtly go over them, but will it make spider veins appear with all the suction?? I so want to use these on my heaviest cellulite and bloated areas at the top of the leg! Thanks for the help.
Hi Michele! Thank you for being our customer! We are so glad to hear you are enjoying your cupping set. We consulted with our cupping expert who is a certified cupping educator and her reply is as follows (not to be taken as a medical advice):
“Cupping directly over Varicose Veins, especially if Thrombosed, is contraindicated. Cupping, suction and release around them can improve the varicose veins. If you are prone to Varicose Veins I would approach the Spider Veins in the same fashion as true V.V.
Clearing out the upper thigh and buttocks will flush out stagnant lymph fluid allowing the lymph system to better function. Will bring in fresh nutrients into the area and reduce pressure on the lower legs. Which in turn should help your Varicose Veins”.
