To avoid “cupping marks” or “bruising”, keep your cup moving or use Flash Cupping (suction& release) technique. NEVER leave cup(s) suctioned on your face! You may leave your cup(s) on a treatment area of your body for up to 15 minutes to promote blood flow to that area. Avoid major veins and arteries and be sure to review other contra-indications in the illustrated guide we provide. Cupping may cause your skin to turn red, blue or purple, especially if there is an injury or energetic blockage in the area that was cupped. The bruising or discoloration is rarely painful and is temporary, but can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.
